The fourth annual Women’s Expo is just around the corner and we’re very excited to be able to tell you that it will be held at a new location that is easily accessible with plenty of free parking – Millersville University, Marauder Court, 21 S. George St., May 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It should be a wonderful day for exhibitors and guests alike.
We have a couple of new features the year:
- The Bricktastic Kids LEGO® contest. Children ages 5 – 12 will be divided into two age groups and will use their imaginations to build a masterpiece out of the LEGO®s provided at the event. It will be exciting to see if it’s a girl or boy, and what age, who wins the top prizes of $75. Go to www.agreatwaytospendmyday.com for more information.
- The Show & Tell area was a great suggestion from previous guests and we’re happy to say we’re giving it a try. These will be very quick, 10-minute mini demonstrations of products that you will find at the expo. The products will change very quickly, so you’ll want to check back often.
Guests always enjoy the more detailed demonstrations and entertainment occurring on the main stage. Just in time for the gardening season, Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill will show us how to create those beautiful planters that you thought only a nursery could do. It’s easier than you think with a little help from the experts.
The fashion show is always a hit and Christopher & Banks will be presenting what’s trending for summer fashions. Their line of casual women’s clothing is comfortable and affordable, and they offer misses, petite, and plus sizes.
Do you like to dance? Do you want to get some exercise? Do enjoy the camaraderie of working out with others? Then Zumba is for you! Join Nicole Hoover as she moves to this enjoyable, high-intensity, Latin-inspired dance-cardio fitness workout. Step to the front and join in if you like.
There will be more than 100 exhibitors, from larger businesses to small franchises and solopreneurs, offering everything from soups to nuts. Really! The variety of businesses will astound you!
We would like to thank these sponsors who help to make this day possible: Demonstration Sponsor – Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Supporting Sponsors – Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster, Emerald Springs Spa, The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, and Regional Gastroenterology Associates of Lancaster (RGAL). Media – abc27, Blue Ridge Communications, LCTV, WDAC, WFYL, AND WJTL.
Ladies, this is a day to get out with friends or family for a little “me time” and a chance to unwind at an event designed just for you.
